I got to interview the very awesome Sean Yseult (of White Zombie fame) for Noisey regarding her first solo art show in New York City. Facts: While touring with White Zombie, crew wouldn’t let her onstage because they didn’t believe she was in the band; at age 8, she played piano in clubs alongside old bluesmen; she is a full-blown art nerd. If you live in NYC, go see her new art show, opening this weekend at Sacred Gallery.
The Rezillos’s first album in 37 years, Zero, is one of the greatest punk rock albums of 2015. Punk rock is an attitude, an aesthetic. It’s not something you grow out of, nor is it something only accessible to young people. Punk doesn’t die with age or time. Fay Fife and Eugene Reynolds are proof: Zero is a rollicking good time. Here’s my Rezillos interview for Noisey.
